Motorcyclist Dies After Staten Island Crash

A motorcyclist was killed following a collision with a minivan on Staten Island Monday. The New York Police Department reported that James Barry, 31, was riding a 2006 Honda motorcycle north on Hylan Boulevard, less than six miles from his residence, when he collided with a 2012 Chrysler minivan as it turned left onto Dongan Hills Avenue.

Barry suffered severe head trauma and was rushed to Staten Island University Hospital North in critical condition. He died the following day. The 41-year-old minivan driver was uninjured in the accident and is not currently facing charges.
